Third B.O.B. Festival (Bremen - Oakland - Bath) in Bremen on 15./16. August 2003 [Fotos vom B.O.B. Festival (Photos of the bob-festival)] Das Punk-Cafe im Sielwallhaus
(Sielwallhaus Punk Café) (In the meantime the Punk Café has become an institution in Bremen. For over five years now, in the Sielwallhaus at 38 Sielwall, every Wednesday is Punk day. The following poster documents the beginning of the project. The Sielwallhaus in Bremen is one of the city’s few autonomous projects in which a wide variety of initiatives take place: from the anti-rascist office to the gay-lesbian project “Suspect” or to the Punk Café.)
(After a creative break, negotiations with the „House Council” and several renovation measures, the Punk Café re-opened its doors at the beginning of 1998. Renovations were interrupted on 10th December 1999 in the Sielwallhaus and the rubble was removed. The Punk café celebrated its 5th anniversary.)
Festivals 2003] The Friesian-Crew (The Fresian-Crew is one of the most attractive organisers of punk concerts in Breestival 2003])men. A highlight remains the BOB Festival (Bremen-Oakland-Bath) in April 1997 at which our friends from Oakland (USA) and Bath (U.K.) played as guest bands. - [To the current program of the B.O.B. f

zahlreichen Konzertankündigungen:
Sielwallhaus bleibt! Juni beim linken Informationssystem (Sielwallhaus keeps going!) (The CDU and the SPD political parties have decided to reduce the youth financial support budget by a quarter by the year 2005. This will affect several facilities in the central and eastern districts of the city. This means that in the next few years public financial support for the Kinderhaus Cadesi (Stader Straße), the Youth Club at the Auco-op Trade & Apprenticeship Cooperative (Weberstraße) and the Youth Initiative in the Sielwallhaus will be discontinued which in turn means closure for these facilities. The Youth House in Friesenstraße , the Child and Youth Initiative in Schildstraße as well as the Culture House for Girls in Heinrichstraße will all be forced to reduce their diverse programmes. Public financial support at the Sielwallhaus only pays the rent and running costs! Added to which, the state owned housing authority “BREMISCHE” has announced a rent increase. In the face of the megalomaniac projects like the Space and Ocean Park, the extension of the Weser Stadium and other bad investments in business area of Bremen the Sielwallhaus demands that the planned reductions in financial support in Youth and Social areas be withdrawn. More instead of less money should be given to Youth culture!! No rent increases for the Sielwallhaus!! There are enough dead cities!! Further information about the action-week from 5th to 10th June can be found in the left wing information system) Jugendhaus Friesenstraße besetzt! (Squatting at the Youth House Friesenstraße!) The savings policy of the grand coalition parties in Bremen does not stop at Youth projects. The two social worker positions in the Youth House in Friesenstraße, the venue where many punk concerts, have been reduced to a restricted ¾ position. Creative and useful Youth work with this personell ceiling is no longer possible. As a protest against this savings policy a group of female supporters called Freizi has been occupying the Youth House in a squat since 15th March 2002. Apart from the re-installment of the social worker positions 1m € have been demanded for the Youth budget in Bremen. You can find out how the situation develops here. In the meanwhile, (January 2003) two social workers are now working in the Friesenstraße Youth House.)
